JAMB Releases More 2026 UTME Results; Candidates Urged to Check Via SMS
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is continuing its rollout of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, with fresh batches released for candidates who sat the exam on Monday, April 20, and earlier dates.
The examination body confirmed that the latest release covers thousands of additional candidates across all states. JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin encouraged candidates to remain patient, noting that “results are being processed and released in batches to ensure accuracy and system stability.”
Candidates can check their results instantly by sending UTMERESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number used during registration. Results are also accessible on the JAMB eFacility portal: efacility.jamb.gov.ng
Early reports indicate minimal technical issues with the latest release, a marked improvement from initial rollout challenges. However, JAMB advises candidates experiencing delays to verify their registration details and ensure stable network connectivity before retrying.
“More results will follow in the coming days,” Benjamin added. “We urge candidates to rely only on official JAMB channels and avoid third-party sites that may compromise their data.”
Candidates who believe their results are being withheld due to pending investigations or irregularities will be notified directly via their registered contact details.
As the release continues, education stakeholders have commended JAMB’s transparency and urged successful candidates to begin preparing for the next stage: post-UTME screenings and admission processes.
