Chelsea Complete Signing of England Forward Morgan Rogers
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of England international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, securing one of the Premier League’s most highly rated young attackers ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 23-year-old forward has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2033, and he is expected to join Xabi Alonso’s squad as preparations continue for the new campaign.
Rogers expressed his excitement after the transfer was announced, describing Chelsea as a club he has admired since childhood.
“I’m so excited. For me, Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I’ve always admired since I was a kid,” Rogers said.

“I’m really excited about the project with the new manager, the players we’ve got and where the club is heading. That’s why I’m here and I can’t wait to get started.”

The England forward arrives in west London after an impressive spell at Aston Villa, where he developed into one of the league’s most dangerous attacking players. Across 85 Premier League appearances, Rogers contributed 40 goals and assists, helping Villa secure a top-four finish and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
His success at club level was followed by rapid progress on the international stage. Since making his senior England debut in November 2024, Rogers has earned 22 caps and represented the Three Lions at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea believe the signing strengthens their attacking options as Alonso begins shaping his squad for the future. Supporters will now look forward to seeing Rogers make his debut in blue when the 2026/27 season gets underway.
