Unstoppable Haaland Fires Man City to Eighth Straight Unbeaten Game

Erling Haaland once again proved why he’s Europe’s most feared striker, scoring both goals as Manchester City cruised to a 2-0 win over Everton at the Etihad Stadium, extending their unbeaten streak to eight matches across all competitions.

Facing a City side fresh off back-to-back home league wins by three-goal margins, Everton arrived under David Moyes hoping to rewrite a painful script: the Toffees hadn’t won at the Etihad since 2010, and Moyes had lost all eight of his previous visits as a manager.

Just five minutes later, the Norwegian struck again, this time lashing a low, venomous shot into the bottom corner after Savinho’s clever cutback. The brace took Haaland’s astonishing tally to 23 goals in just 13 appearances for club and country this season and marked his sixth goal in five Premier League meetings with Everton.

The double blow deflated the visitors, who suffered their first multi-goal away defeat in the league since December. Despite City piling on pressure in search of a third and Haaland nearly completing a hat-trick, Pickford stood tall with a string of late stops to keep the scoreline respectable.

With the win, Manchester City temporarily leapfrogged their rivals to claim top spot in the Premier League table, while their unbeaten head-to-head run against Everton now stretches to 18 matches. For Moyes and Everton, the Etihad remains a fortress they simply can’t conquer.
